Political parties and social development agencies in Karenni State are under threat
Aug 26, 2010 - A resident of Karenni State who traveled to the border early this week has reported that a newly formed political party called Nationalities Unity and Development Party (NUDP) and social workers from various development programs working in Karenni State are threatened by Special Security Agents from the Department of Military Affairs. The agents have demanded the party cease campaigning and be dissolved and development programs be closed. more »
