Three Burmese privates defect to KA
Aug 9, 2009 - Karenni Army headquarters have reported that three Burmese privates from LIB no. 575, commanded by Major Soe Moe Aung, ran away while there were on patrol close to the Thai-Burma border.
"They reached our camp at noon with their arms and 150 rounds of ammunition. They gave their names as Aung Than Zaw, Naing Aung and Htun Thun Win," the KA source said.
They killed their Sergeant while they were on patrol, then headed for the KA base and handed themselves in to the KA.
